Canada Student Visa

Canada Immigration plans to boost New Immigrants including international Students.

In recent weeks our office has dealt with many potential new immigrants and students to find ways to immigrate Canada.

Canada welcomes more than 200,000 international students from all over the world. If you intend to study at a Canadian educational institution, most foreign nationals must apply for a study permit. A study permit, once issued, allows a foreign national to study in Canada at an approved institute for the duration of the specified course or program.

Recently, the Advisory Council on Economic Growth called for a 50-per-cent increase the targets to 450,000 people a year.

The measure would target skilled, entrepreneurial newcomers in an attempt to stimulate economic growth.

Canada is willing to find ways to increase the new immigrants. At the same time, Canadian Universities are eager to accommodate student population from overseas countries as well.

Canada is home to many nationalities from all over the world. Many of the families who are settled here in Canada willing to help their families and friends to move over to Canada as well.

Canada Student Visa

Recently there is a peak in enquiries especially, from Indian nationals who are looking for ways to bring a Student on a student Visa to Canada from India.  Based on our office data, the Chinese are also looking for ways to bring a student, on a student visa to Canada from China.

The Student Visa applicants need to enroll in an accredited post secondary educational institution, for the course they wants to enroll. If the program duration is less than Six months, there is no need for  a study Permit.  But it is good to apply for the Student Visa to Canada through a Visa post overseas, if you want to continue your studies in another program. Otherwise you’ll need to leave Canada to apply for a study permit through a visa office.

Once you have a Canadian study permit, you can apply to renew it from within Canada if you decide to continue your studies.

Applying for a Canadian study permit

The Student Visa to Canada, application can be done online or through a paper application. Usually paper application process can be time consuming compared to online process.

In order for us to start the process on a Student Visa to Canada application, our office encourages the potential applicants to get a Letter of acceptance from an accredited higher educational institution.
